A few years ago, conservatives made the mistake of holding a convention in Oakland. Some local, elite young men ran riot, assaulting the visitors on the street. The police did nothing.
Do indeed Defend Our Defenders. Support for your local police, to keep them independent, first involves insuring that they stick to their mission.
Then we can defend Police against anarchists, as they defend us as free citizens.
When I was a child, I was taught: "The police are our friends." They have always proven to be.
Remember: Liberals do not want the police to remain independent or unpoliticized or for laws to be equitable.
They might say they do. They might even think they do. But they do not. They believe in what they think is a higher morality; it's not that; it's something else; something much worse.
