You sound like you need a string of pearls AND a fainting couch.

How many Presidential campaigns have you managed?

The poll was conducted among a random national sample of 1,001 adults reached on cell phones and landlines, according to the Post.

Poll of adults? Not even registered voters. This poll is garbage.

People said he wasn’t going to win the primaries either because he had no “ground game”, that he only relied on rallies and his plane, that he wasn’t a master debate star like Cruz, couldn’t give a good speech, took positions that were too extreme, was a dopey godless NYC Hillary plant or that he didn’t spend the money or have the connection like “Jeb!” had.

The rules of this election are not the same. Some people have learned that. Others still haven’t.

Who in their right mind answers the telephone from a strange number? Why would anybody do that? We all have caller ID - so why would anybody answer?

“I lie to pollsters”

The impact of your lying to pollsters is nullified, as there is most likely a person with the exact opposite opinions who also lies to pollsters.

The Drudge Report mentions an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll that has Hitlery up 1%.

Sean Hannity has complained about pollsters oversampling democrats.

Many pollsters fail to account for the excitability factor

The Donald can have people stand in line for up to 12 hours before an event and fill it to capacity crowd - (with many more waiting outside).

Hillary has had to downgrade expectations -- smaller venues and not fill it to capacity

Thus, proving polls are rigged

I stood in a line very similar to that for Sarah Palin in 2008. Was heartened by the enormous turnout in a beautiful setting at Red Rock for Mitt Romney late in the 2012 campaign.

“Also folks who support Trump are keeping it quiet so as not to be accused of being hateful as well.”

Bingo! I'm a Republican and have worked on Wall Street in NYC for more than 20 years. It's always been acceptable to be a Republican — so long as you don't mention you're anti-abortion — but things are very different this election-time around. Now, we Republicans, who are fairly high in number at investment firms, are divided into two groups: those who are vocal about how they are going to vote for HRC instead of Trump, and those (like me) who are keeping quiet. I'd say 90% of the first group are indeed going to vote for HRC, while 10% are lying and will vote for Trump; while 90% those of us in the second group will vote for Trump but are not going to talk about it because we've NEVER heard such disparaging thing said about any types of voters as Wall Street people are saying about Trump supporters.

Now, before you accuse me of being obsessed with other peoples’ opinions of me, or assert that I am a coward who won't talk up Trump, please understand how difficult things are on Wall Street today. I have no doubt that, if I talk up Trump, and Trump ends up winning, that I shall end up losing my job within, say, six months of the election. Would by boss be stupid enough to tell my firm he wants me fired because I voted for Trump? No, of course not. But you can bet when the inevitable next round of layoffs starts, my name would be on the list. So, I am donating to Trump's campaign and I'll vote for him, but I am keeping my mouth shuts. Because people like THEM will find a away to punish people like US...you can bet on it.

“How many of you have been polled in your lifetime?”

I have been polled twice.
Both during the GWB administration.
The questions were broken into three or four groups, domestic policy, economics and whatever.

The questions were very deceptive, you had to listen closely or it would be very easy to give an answer other than what your opinion actually was.

I caught on in the first poll because they would ask the same question in a different way many times.
This was ALWAYS on questions that an affirmative answer would have been good for W.
The second time they asked the question it would have been easy to give the rephrased question an answer that was negative of Bush.

In both polls they would start with the premise that you would only be on the phone with them for fifteen minutes.
It was over an hour both times!
They were bound and determined to get the answers they wanted.

I no longer participate in polling because it is so darned deceptive.

Shameful that it’s even come to that, anywhere in this country. I can certainly believe it’s happening on Wall St. They are SO in the tank, for Hellary, they’re not even hiding their own ‘at any cost’ preference for her.

Watching lefty the WS/econonomy pundits, since Brexit, has been especially eye opening. Their fear mongering in in full throttle spin mode, since.

Praying Trump gets elected and that attitudes EVERYWHERE will change...so that we can, once again, speak freely about our political views and choices, regardless of where we live or work, in the USA.

The campaign begins after the Convention.

And the polls are going to say he is losing right up to election day.
