Trump doesn't need any "latino" support.
If he wins the ethnic American vote - all the white people and the 20% of black people who realize that mass immigration is a dagger aimed at their hearts - he doesn't need the citizens of Mexico to vote for him.
Some will of course. There is a thin group who are assimilated, mostly older.
But the real size of their vote is tiny compared to the American majority, especially East of the Mississippi.
Tens of millions of working class Americans in the upper midwest and Northeast will overwhelm the Invader mass.
Trump just has to win them, something that McCain and Romney had no interest and no chance to do.
Trump is already most of the way there with them.
Last summer I was watching the MLB All-Star Game with a latino pal of mine. This was shortly after Trump’s announcement that he was running for President, and my pal asked:
“So what do you think of Trump?”
me- “I like him”
him- “Me too. I know that he’s a racist but I can deal with that.”
Now this friend of mine has immediate family who are illegals, so it’s not like the Wall won’t affect him. But a lot of latinos like winners and they like a strong leader, a jefe, and Trump has that in spades. So while it’s just anecdotal it is interesting. He and his wife are both still on Team Trump as far as I know.
