Not only do the feds have no say in state elections, even the Electoral College is not in any way under the authority of the Executive Branch.
The martial law/cancel elections get tiresome. It’s kind of hard to institute martial law when there’s not enough manpower to cover the size and scope of the United States to even attempt it
