Trump's Double-Barreled Shotgun Strategy
American Thinker ^ | 6-13-2016 | James Lewis

Posted on 06/13/2016 10:17:46 AM PDT by Sir Napsalot

We've argued from the beginning that Trump is conducting a brilliant psy-war strategy against the enemy media* like the New York Times.

It's really brilliant, because it's double-barreled.

Let's call it Trump's double-barreled shotgun strategy. Today we can we see how he is implementing it, day by day.

Trump's generalship is fabulous. He has probably used his DBS strategy before in his showbiz and business careers. I don't know. But you can watch it evolve from day to day.

You decide if his DBS strategy works. I think it's George Patton against the Panzer Brigades.

Here's how it goes.

The media have two or three war weapons against us.

1. Media War Weapon #1.

They ignore your existence. You don't exist.

That is the normal fate of Republican candidates.

But the media can't ignore Trump, because he is dropping news bombs every single day. Every other day, they think they've finally got him – he's dead as a doornail – only to find out that he's got a different news bomb the next day. They can't not make him famous. So they made him famous enough to beat Jeb Bush and the whole Bush Republican Machine, while hating every single fiber of Trump's being.

Fabulous. Trump won the primaries.

2. Media Weapon #2. (Read it all at link source)

So that’s why the Dems want to outlaw guns.

I enjoyed that article but couldn't figure out what the author thought was Trump's response to media weapon #2. If the author stated it, I must have missed it.

I presume that was the second barrel of the 2 barrel strategy.

He uses this double barrel shotgun to shoot back at the “drive by” media, before they can drive away after taking the first shot.

That takes speed, accuracy, and the nerve to pull the trigger.

#2 Response is not bowing to PC. The author compares Trump to Ryan to make this point.

I think the both the rats and the RINO’s are suckering Trump. These are Sapper attacks to ready the battlefield. Hopefully this isn’t Trump’s death by a thousand cuts,

“In war you don’t discuss things with the enemy. First you defeat them, and then you dictate terms. That’s all.”

Trump is doing the ‘dictating terms’ to the media regarding weapon #2.

Interesting.

With Romney, it was the high school "bullying" incident, the dog on the camper incident, the cancer killed my wife incident, Romney's wife's horse incident, that were the "sapper" attacks. The killer attack was the 47% comment, but that took an SEIU bartender spy to secretly record a private campaign event to make it happen.

Do you think the MSM is trying to shell Trump into a killing zone where he will be entrapped into saying the One Thing that the MSM will use to take him out?

Trump would be wise to host all private events on his properties, to better control the staffing.

Closing Excerpt:

Our cult media simply don’t get it. The GOPe doesn’t get it. The editorial board of the New York Times, in its higher wisdom, is completely baffled. Its members think Hitler is on the march, because that’s all they can think. In fact, Trump is following every popular American politician in history. He is affirming this country, not sneering and smearing Americans and the country they love.

What a concept. It just dazzles the Ruling Class.

A lot of Mexican-Americans are also intuitive people. They don’t like La Raza racists because they are more tolerant and accepting than Razistas. Razistas are Fascistas, and they know it. So Trump gets Hispanic votes, Puerto Rican votes, Texas votes, and New York votes. Look at the primaries.

Prediction: Trump is going to win by appealing to American common sense.

* A note on “enemy media”: Don’t forget that “enemy” is what Saul Alinsky called the American middle class in the sixties. HillaryBama have used that label for the majority of Americans for at least half a century.

They started it, and we get to use that word, too.

Thx for that.

We know that Trump's strategy for media weapon #2 is return fire as hard as you can at the media accusations...and Trump has clearly control the media narrative from the beginning.

I just think the author didn't clearly lay that point out for the readers.

That said, I like James Lewis and read nearly all his articles at AT.

That might have worked with Romney when the media still had a degree of legitimacy. Thanks to Trump, the media is no longer seen as a trustworthy credible legitimate source. What worked on Romney will not work for Trump.

Not this election, not this time.

Those of us, who are reasonably good with shotguns, shooting skeet or trap or wild game, seem to prefer over and under shotguns for better accuracy versus the old standard double side by side shotguns.

Trump and his shooting sons probably prefer a good over and under shotgun versus a standard side by side double barrel.

Agree Rooster.

There was a lot of good content, and the story started out strong, yet it lost some organization after that.

I think the author should resubmit the story after tightening it up and bulletizing the major points so easier to read. Good content though, as I say.

Yep. Good article, just needs a little clean. And I like bullet points, too.
