Exactly correct. People are trying to kill us. These people share a certain ideology. It is called Islam. Their method is to use terrorism because they could never defeat us in a conventional warfare scenario. Rather than focus our attention on this group of people, we are focusing on their tactics. This makes absolutely no sense.
