He did the latter.
Are you joking? Freepers go to other websites all the time. (Maybe you don't)?
Where do you think all the articles that get posted here come from? Is FR supposed to be some kind of "vanity" site? I thought that was generally what comments were for, for our opinions, observations, etc.
And if I'm reading and posting an article from someone else, somehow it only seems fair that they get a click.
I guess I'm just not as trusting as some of my fellow FRiends. How, for example, do you know whether someone has posted the entire article or maybe even added to or modified the article unless you actually go there. What about pictures or videos?
Are you familiar with "Trust, but verify?"
I'm old, but I still have enough energy to click my mouse. Come on people!
BTW, I care about the hell that South Africa has become. And I see some very interesting articles that I plan on posting in the next couple of days as time permits. And guess what. I'm going to excerpt them
Read them or ignore it.
I go to other websites if they’re worth going to.
The typical blog isn’t worth going to.
Freepers, in general, do a favor to bloggers by going to their blogs.
That’s why it’s annoying when a blogger excerpts his blog. In most cases it’s a sacrifice to click on it, because the quality usually doesn’t justify the click.
That’s why humblegunner is appreciated around here. He helps weed out the blog posters who would otherwise waste our time.
Excerpting someone else's material is one thing, and quite proper.
Excerpting your own material is nothing but self-serving blogpimping done strictly for hits.
Learn it, live it, love it.
