I can remember not long ago the press screaming and crying for months about Valerie Jarret’s name being “compromised” even though it was not Bush’s fault.

And I messed it up as well. Valerie Plame was her name.
Husband was Joe Wilson. He was a broker for sales of yellowcake ore to the President of Niger, who would then sell it to forbidden nations. Like money laundering, but with uranium. All our politicians knew about it. Some profited from it.
That is why Plame and Wilson were ‘protected’ and Bush blamed.
