The majority of Bernie supporters actually agree with socialism (so they think at least) and they ain’t voting for Trump. But on the fringes, if Trump plays his cards right, there might be a minority who were attracted to Bernie because he’s independent of Wall Street lobbyists and was willing to critique trade deals that kill American jobs, who might then be attracted to Trump.
Ultimately though I think Trump will win or lose based on his ability to nominally conservative/Republican voters who sat out the last couple of elections to the polls.
Right, I think a large number of Bernie supporters were just along for the ride and haven’t given any coherent thought (assuming they are capable of it) to actual issues, so could be persuadable. And Trump is a master persuader.
