To adopt a wondrful dog is to acquire the certainty of a major bereavement. Nevertheless, I have had four dogs who have passed and presently have two great ones, one a 10 year old Pit/Lab cross and the other a 5 year old Great Dane, assuring me two more bereavements in the not too distant future.
We had two endearing small dogs - one a miniature poodle/dachshund mix and one miniature poodle/whatever. I so loved them both.
