Ford did the exact same thing with Nixon... it is the same. Before the indictment... Not to put the country through this stress etc...

She has power over him, because the two were in cahoots the night of Benghazi...

You can’t hide your sin. He will pardon her...

Guaranteed...

OBama will pardon her before this goes much further.

He can't pre-pardon her if she hasn't been convicted of anything.....

You lack clue. Not mention short memory.

See here.

They can impeach her for her screech, if the population demands it from their representatives.

Or certainly if she were to bow to the King of Saudi Arabia!

I got mocked on this forum for proposing that as a valid reason to remove Zero. Conduct unbecoming a Commander in Chief! What else can anyone say?

An impeachable offense is whatever a majority of the House and two thirds of the Senate says it is. No need for law books!

I keep saying this but no one listens. Ford pardoned Nixon before there was any indictment or convictions. He put an end to everything. Obama can do the same thing.

Dang - I must be as you said (clueless and short memory). Forgot all about that and was old enough to be aware of it.

Thanks for the refresher course.

Next thing, they will be able to pardon folks for crimes they haven't even committed yet....oh....wait.

I appreciate the straightening out.

Just had someone else remind me of that - I guess if they can pre-approve crimes that haven't been committed yet (turning the IRS on folks/gun running, etc.) there aren't any constraints about waiting for a pesky trial.

There was tremendous outrage at the time. The democrats and the media were settled into a big trial. A circus to totally embarrass the man as if stepping down from the presidency wasn’t enough.

Ford put a stop to it before there was any indictment, nothing, and it probably cost him the election against Carter. Neither man admitted that there was a deal.

I see the same circumstances now. Obama saying that the country cannot deal with this, and it’s partisan etc. And he will pardon her. FROM ANY AND ALL WRONG DOING THAT WOULD INCLUDE HER FOUNDATION.

The outrage will be too great to describe, but the sooner he does it the better. She might refuse the pardon, and want her day in court, but as a compromise, that any investigation be postponed which would be totally unfounded and wrong.

This is the time when people need to know these things.

Excellent post. Obama could take the exact same document and just slip in HIllary for Nixon and it fits like a glove.

Agreed - a pardon for Hillary would cause a lot of push back and if it happens before the election, she would be even “toastier”
