The current assault on women’s right to privacy in public restrooms implies that only those born with Gender Identity Disorder have any personal rights. GIDites believe that people with male anatomies who are dressed as women should be able to use restrooms designated for people with female anatomies. Women are justifiably concerned that sexual predators can take advantage of this situation and dress as women to gain access to women’s restrooms. I ran across this article and it echoed the thought I had, which was, maybe this tiny minority doesn’t want legislated bathroom rights.

Obama has picked a bad topic to hand his legacy on.
The headline posits a very good question. Until about 10 years ago, when gay rights became more strident and victorious, I never thought that question would need to be asked.

Some women care, some don’t seem to care. It could be we are at the point where most women just don’t care if men use their exclusive areas. We’ll see what happens to Target in the next 6 months or so.

Liberals have created ‘shadow laws’ - PC “laws”. If we’re stupid enough to buy into that system we deserve to lose.
That we are even having this argument is a really bad indicator, in my opinion. Reminds me of the ‘gay marriage’ garbage 15-20 years before it was just imposed like it was really no big deal after all.

I think many women care. But, due to how political correctness has such a stranglehold on our culture and on our debates about social/political issues, too many are afraid to speak out.
I call BS on the statement that MRIs show that transgendered people have different brain patterns.

We’ll see, you could be right. I hope so. Every blue collar dem I have talked to about this thinks the leadership is nuts on this. But they were all men. Enough women might not realize that men and women are different in their sexual attractions, no matter what they think they are or the lengths they go to make themselves seem legit. And men claiming to be women has nothing to do with who they are actually attracted to. And that’s just the unfortunate men who actually have this disorder. Have to think weirdos who will use the policy/law/ordinance as cover to get their rocks off in women’s sex-exclusive areas who wouldn’t have risked it before will out number the legit ones by a wide margin.
I buy that Target might have a policy like this for ‘social justice’ reasons as opposed to business reasons. But not Trump. What, he doesn’t know what his women customers think about it? I don’t buy it. So we’ll see.

I’ve heard the term auto-erotic, the cross dressers getting turned on by seeing themselves dressed as women.
In the case of transgenders, it is simply another dysphoria. Anorexics see starving bodies as still fat. Some with dysphoria see their limbs as not their own and want to have them removed. There are now reports of trans-disabled, like the woman in the UK who had herself blinded because she wanted to be be blind.
The difference is that transgenderism is the only mental illness where the delusion is accommodated per order of the government - let him use women’s spaces to feel like a woman, call him her even though he still has a penis (fewer than a quarter of the men have the male plumbing removed though nearly all grow breasts).
