It is happening ya’ll. Paul Ryan is backing down, but he can’t show it fully yet. He’s trying to find the right station to get on the Trump Train from.
“With that focus, we had a great conversation this morning. While we were honest about our few differences, we recognize that there are also many important areas of common ground,” Trump and Ryan said.
“We will be having additional discussions, but remain confident there’s a great opportunity to unify our party and win this fall, and we are totally committed to working together to achieve that goal.
“This was our first meeting, but it was a very positive step toward unification.”
The face-to-face meeting did not result in an endorsement from Ryan, but that his because Ryan is a little prick. Yup. I said it. Ryan did say that he was currently “encouraged” by his discussions. ABC interviewed him after the meeting and Ryan turned down an endorsement.
“It’s very important that we don’t fake unifying, we don’t pretend unification, that we truly and actually unify so we are full strength in the fall,” Ryan said at a news conference. “I don’t want us to have a fake unification process here.”
The meeting was great. It was a very positive step toward party unity.

Ryan is such a leader
Ryan is GOPe, but he knows that to fight Trump is futile and would greatly damage the Republican Party. So Trump will throw him a bone and Ryan will use that has a justification for supporting Trump.

I’m fairly sure Paul Ryan was told in clear terms that Trump would back his challenger in the primary and work to get him elected.
Let’s see how many posts it takes before the newbie blog pump replies. I’ll be surprised if they reply before post 50. That’s par for the course for these types.

Not Trump’s style.
He always opens a new relationship with a smile and a warm handshake. He tells the other side that he’s committed to reaching a deal that satisfies all parties, and promises to be a fair and honest dealer.
He then waits for them to transgress against his honorable position, and lowers the boom. As we’ve seen, none who have crossed him, have survived.
Ryan’s just committed himself and the House Republicans to unifying with Trump. If he falters or back pedals even an inch, Trump will have him by the short and curlies.
