I’m afraid that there is considerable “Republican” support for Mrs. Bill, as there was for LBJ 52 years ago.

Yer gonna need an elephant gun for that, and both gun and elephant are conspicuous by their absence in my neck of the woods. :)

I admire the way he can take any issue where there is major contention, then he boils things down to a point where sanity and self-preservation of our country should be our guide, no matter our disagreements.

One reason the GOP hates trump is that he forces them to show their hand- they do not want to stop Hillary or democrat majority. It’s why they hate conservatives.

The Cheap Labor Express would rather lose to Hillary than give up control of the GOP.
By controlling the GOP they can block the citizens from stopping them.

Failed analysis. After McCain and especially after Romney the party ... or better phrased ... the partys voters did NOT come together. Compare 2008 and 2012 with 2000. In 2000 the party came together more than it had since 1988. The reality is that both many Trump and many Cruz voters did not vote for McCain and Romney. For that matter, many Herman Cain voters did not vote for Romney.

But in every nominating contest I can ever remember, the party came together when it was over and got behind the eventual nominee.

Well, perhaps for the GOPe - but that was because they skewed things until they got the loser candidate that they wanted.
