How did it nearly break NY city sewer system?
Biggest ever pressure spike in the history of New York City utilities came within the first five minutes of the final moments of the M*A*S*H series finale when it aired on February 28th 1983.
So many millions of people had been watching it at the same time, and "holding it in" until the show ended before going to use the bathroom.
