No its not mark of the beast but its a tracker for sure. They are in the new passports and drivers licenses.

It’s no different than the magnetic stripe on a credit card only more secure ... unless you consider those trackers (which, in a way, they are since you give away your location when you use it :-) ).
They are not activated by radio ... pins contact that funky looking gold thing and read data out of it ... they’re harder to counterfeit.
