Join the club, friends.
If you can think back this far, the U.S. populace was down on George W. Bush this time eight years ago in part because he supposedly had alienated our allies by being a go-it-alone cowboy. The remedy for this was to elect the cool guy who gave speeches about how we all have to listen to each other and all that sort of thing.
We did find out, did we not, that there is a huge difference between saying something in a speech and actually doing it? Today Americas allies would surely love to have Bush back, since despite what you heard from the media, he did not insult them nor did he disregard their concerns.
Now just where did I put that can of 0bama-B-Gone?
“... there is a huge difference between saying something in a speech and actually doing it...”
There is the difference in Trump and the “professional politicians”....
First it was Bush’s fault, now it’s simply the legislative gridlock cause by republican control.
It matters not in the eyes of a liberal/progressive. Their ilk can do no wrong. Obama/Clinton/Sanders could strangle a live baby on stage and drink her blood - liberals would blame it on voodoo magic controlled by conservatives.
On the back shelf, right next to “Johnny-B-Goode”
In this competitive world that we live in, if you can get a competitor nation to elect a dumbass for their leader, you gain a big competitive edge.
Barack Hussein Obama.....driving the US into the dirt.
For our true allies...who can blame them?
What an abject disaster he has been.
our enemies are less enthusiastic about it I presume.
True partnership and true progress ... require allies who will listen to each other, learn from each other and, most of all, trust each other, Obama told adoring crowds in Berlin in 2008.
How does that square with tapping phones of leaders of ally countries ?
Or does that qualify as “listen to each other” ?
I have no doubt that is true also. 😀😆
Many US citizens can’t wait until this underwear stain and his grifter family sre gone.
