I'm willing to bet the Cruz campaign people know the rules up and down the ladder in every state, country, city, town, ward and precinct and will do everything in their power to have Cruz prevail.
They probably know what happens "if" every step of the way, too
It would be logistically difficult to go to a multi-round, drop-the-low man system in a standard primary setting, but it would not be difficult to do in a caucus or convention situation.
As a Cruz supporter the question is irrelevant. Maybe they should be, but they’re not. State parties get to have whatever kind of primary they feel like. These are not public elections.
Until somebody gets the 1237 it would be stupid to drop out.
Trump is but Cruz ain’t.
Trumpers mendaciously accuse Cruz people of “Gestapo” tactics when it is THEY who want to screw the US Constitution and force the states to do things THEIR way...the whiny fascists.
There are 798 remaining
So after NY, there will be 798 - 95 = 703 delegates left ... Now you see why Cruz will be mathematically eliminated next Tuesday night ... he needs 716, 703 are left.
So if Trump doesn't win all 95, 13 is Cruz' magic number in NY ... if he gets less than 13 delegates there, he is mathematically eliminated.
You thought that up all by yourself?
What his Cruzer thinks is let the states determine their process, as is, but every state votes the same day, like general elections.
They are ironically complaining about the rules, like your Messiah Donald does.
Sorry it all went over your head.
65,000 sounds good, if the population of the state was 250,000 people. However, the state is 5,500,000.
Yeah, you are real funny. The general election is winner take all.
*to win on the first roll call.
That's what is so comical about the Trumpsters. They don't bother to learn the rules. Then when they lose they yell "That's not fair!"
They sound like a bunch of OWS losers who didn't understand that they would be required to actually pay back the college loans they took out.
There have been plenty of conventions that were not settled on the first roll call. If we go to another roll call, a substantial number of Trump's and Cruz's delegates will no longer be committed and can choose either candidate. The way the rules are today, those will be their only two choices.
The Trumpters need to come to grips with the fact that he has run an incredibly divisive campaign. He has made enemies of many of the delegates who will be at the convention. He has chosen to engage in a bloodsport type campaign and will need to live with the consequences of that. If Trump doesn't get 1237 and secure the nomination on the first roll call, Ted Cruz is the nominee. Period. End of story.
Oh, but according to you, the general election should be behind closed doors.
Where did I say that? Trumpsters making things up as usual????
“Kind of funny isnt it? Trump supporters whining that it should be winner take all. How very fascist of them. Isnt that the same as saying, Who cares how 49% of the state voted? We won! When Trump benefits from the rules its just fine.”
Trump is complaining that the CO primary does not appear to be open to the public. Everyone knows this, unless you are a complete f-ing moron; which you appear to be. You support the CO model of elections. That is what this statement means. Good day.
Facts like that don’t penetrate the blinders.
65K Coloradans voted--they just voted against Trump. That's 11 elections in a row we've won. #WhiningIsntWinning https://t.co/m0NrRh5mFu— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) April 11, 2016

About what I’d expect from a Trump supporter with those NY values.
“”””You support the CO model of elections. “””
Where did I say that? Again, like trump, you’re making crap up.
I am not from New York jerk-off. Again, you, like your failing candidate likes to insult large portions of your fellow countrymen.
Yes, you think Colorado is the model that everyone should follow. Not “open and honest”, but rather “closed and secretive.” Where did you say this, it is because you think there is nothing wrong with it. A real American would have a problem with it.
Probably because they should be. So should the EC. At the very least states should have an at large pool and geographical divisions. WTA has always been kind of silly, especially in big states with diverse populations.
