Why do Cruzer's think all primary contests should be proportional? [vanity]

Posted on 04/13/2016 1:01:35 AM PDT by ObamahatesPACoal

Could you imagine the end result with Trump at 40% of delegates, Cruz at 20% of delegates & all the others at 40% of delegates.

The winner would have to promise to let some of the clowns like Jeb Bush in their admin.

It's much better that you have a winner take most system where the dominant candidate at least has their own identity as a candidate without having to let every 3rd rate Republican be in their campaign or admin.

There are 858 still available delegates
Trump needs 482 delegates or roughly 56%
Cruz needs 692 delegates were 80% of the delegates remaining

What’s amazingly stupid is Cruz saying “Donald Trump 65,000 people voted in the state of Colorado. They just didn’t vote for you. They voted for our campaign.”

That is Brain. Dead. Stupid. Cruz plays right into Trump’s hand with stupid comments like that. And he’s too stupid to realise it.

I checked the official gop site; https://www.gop.com/official-2016-gop-delegate-count/

Trump has 755 and needs 482
Cruz has 521 and needs 716

There are 798 remaining

Trump needs 60.4% of the remaining delegates.
Cruz needs 89.7% of the remaining delegates.

I agree. But that’s not what it is going to be this time around so I am dragging my fat butt out on the 19th to vote in NY and make sure every person I know votes for him.

I have volunteered to man the phones and even had an “insider’ help me to get in contact with still no response, but I am ready to help and will email again.

All the things we WISHED had been, aren’t.

Let’s focus and WIN THIS THING WITH 1237!!!!

Then nothing else matters!!!!

The system is defined by the party, not a country or candidate.

It is for the party’s benefit.

The premise is absurd.
I’m a Cruz supporter and a federalist otherwise known as a constitutional conservative. The states have the right to determine their own political processes as the Founding Fathers intended. There is NOTHING NOTHING in the United States Constitution giving the federal government the power over political parties and if something AIN’T in there the STATES and the PEOPLE have that power.
Whining and crying like a bad hair sissy at the US Constitution in action is not only juvenile but anti American.
“But it’s not fair! It’s not fair!”
Good God what are Trumpers? Five year olds?
Anderson Cooper was right.

Ergo a contested convention.
Thats why Cruz is doing the ground work to ensure the delegates go for him after the first ballot when they are allowed to vote for whoever they want.
While Trump sits on his spoiled little rich boys azz and whines “it’s not fair!” like a bad hair brat.
Do some REAL work for a change Trump, your mouth doesn’t need the exercise.

Kind of funny isn’t it? Trump supporters whining that it should be winner take all. How very fascist of them. Isn’t that the same as saying, “Who cares how 49% of the state voted? We won!” When Trump benefits from the rules it’s just fine. When someone else does it’s all a scam and a farce.

Cruz says “65,000 people voted in the state of Colorado. They just didn’t vote for you Donald Trump. They voted for our campaign." Cruz plays right into Trump’s hand with stupid comments like that. And he’s too stupid to realise it.

Thanks for raising that issue.....my pet peeve.

Cruz is fond of using votes he received (or stole), labeling the votes as an anti-Trump-vote ...but Cruz never applies Trump's voluminous votes as being against him.

If Trump won by staggering numbers....that means Cruz lost by staggering numbers.....many many more rejected Cruz than they did Trump.

Does this look like Trump was rejected?

Trump.....8,256,309.... 37.0 1%....758 delegates

Cruz......6,319,244....28.33%.....533 (plus all he can steal)

Cruz keeps losing and losing. About time he bows out gracefully and admit he lost. And he should stop finagling the numbers.

================================================

Lowlife Ted ....the human cockaroach....is crawling around 24/7 grabbing delegates he is not entitled to.

If there were any failings, it's b/c the Trump people just did not envision the likes of a scumbag like St Ted, reworking the rules to HIS benefit.......the Saint is obsessed w/ Trump hatred, bent on undoing Trump's wins.

AS FREEPER SAM ADAMS76 POSTED: "Cruz would love to have Trump’s 'delegate problems.' Trump is hundreds of delegates ahead and about to ring up a couple hundred more before this month is up. What happened to Cruz’s much ballyhooed “ground game” in the Deep South? He had his head handed to him by a Yankee. I don’t see much Cruz ground game here in New York either. Except for some footprints in the Bronx where he made a rather hasty retreat. I guess Cruz isn’t in Kansas anymore." (hat tip Sam Adams 76)

My biggest gripe is con artist Cruz sees a "party rule" and connives to make it work only to HIS advantage. Crux is exactly the type of candidate w/ an obsessive thirst for power that the Framers of the Constitution wanted the new Nation to guard against.

When candidates lose, they gracefully bow out. St Cruz Gives a victory speech. His maniacal lust for power tags him as the kind of candidate the Framers of The Constitution wanted the new Nation to avoid.

Both Cruz and Trump are outsiders battling the GOP establishment.
Cruz does it without losing his Republican roots while Trump has hated, lied on and insulted the Party itself even while trying to become the leader of that party.
Both the conservative young Turks and the RINO establishment had to choose one to back so as to keep a Democrat from the White House.
Trump hates and abuses them while Cruz tries to reform them.
The choice was not all that difficult.

Cruz has lost it fair and square and should step aside for the sake of the country.
If his continued efforts at thievery split and destroy the party, we’ll be saddled by Hillary or burned by Bernie.

Cruz lost the primary vote and is now aiding and abetting the enemy (the GOPe)
in their treasonous attempt to deny the nomination to the winner.
Cruz is a sore loser turned traitor against the grassroots voters.
And the foolish neophyte thinks the GOPe is going to let him have a shot at the presidency if he helps them block Trump?
Laughable if it wasn’t so serious.

At its core, America is NOT a democracy, it is a constitutional republic. We do not function based on a majority rules basis.

You need only look at the composition of the senate to see this.
