Commentator Jamie Dech predicted that President Barack Obama might try to leverage his “political and media infrastructure” to usurp the presidential election by either inserting himself as a candidate or using martial law to automatically extend his presidency by four more years.
“I believe, depending on Republican race results and possible agitation in the aftermath, it’s possible Obama could try for a ‘third term,’” he wrote Tuesday for Eagle Rising. “I don’t think he wants to give up the White House next January if he can help it.”
In defending this ominous theory, Dech first pointed to what Obama said last July, when he claimed that voters would re-elect him if given the opportunity.
“I think if I ran, I could win,” he said while delivering a speech in Ethiopia. “But I can’t.”

The country conducted an election during the civil war, which is, I would say, a few steps up from “martial law.”
Quickest way to an Obama Third Term:
1) Elect Ted Cruz
2) Have some Democrat operative forum-shop for a Federal Judge who will rule he is not natural born, and thus ineligible.
3) Supreme Court that is deadlocked 4-4 cannot resolve the issue.
4) Obama stays on in an “interim” capacity, “for the good of the country”.
Obama has a huge ego and he is lawless, so I am sure he and Val are getting their ducks in a row just in case they see an opening.
They shouldn’t even allow such bogus articles posted here. It makes us all look crazy.
People will soon realize why he had the White House fence fortified recently.
I disagree. I don’t think he cares about the power that much, because he doesn’t hold the real power anyway, except for his own few inconsequential pet issues (his Treyvon sons, the like). Other than things like that, I don’t think he cares to be in the spotlight any more than he can help-he can’t appear looking all hung over from a choom night, now can he? (Golf courses are great for that, if he has to do anything so the country knows he’s still actually alive once in a while, other than the stuff he’s foisting on us). I think he and Moochelle will be glad to retire to Hawaii and continue to live their rock star lives, without the pressure of appearing to be “public servants”. They can still be trotted out on occasion to “support” any chosen causes, without all the pressure which actually comes with being president.

8 years ago the left had the same theory about Bush. 8 years before that people here were insisting Clinton would have an October surprise. Back in reality, not gonna happen. Most presidents can’t wait to get out of there, it’s actually kind of a sucky job. And it would have to be an extremely popular president for the people to put up with it.
