What!? This woman suffered severe pain and an extreme loss of blood?
I thought we were opposed to women being punished for having an abortion.
This is what is so astonishing. Having gone through two spontaneous miscarriages at under 10 weeks, I can tell you it's whole lot bloodier, more physically and emotionally painful than most people could guess. I found it wrenching. I can't even imagine what it would be like if that were compounded with the guilt of having brought that on myself through my own actions, via the intentional killing of my own child.
These women are not signing up for an easy experience, though they may think they are. I would think it would turn women against abortion, because it's so right-up-front-and-personal. So inescapable. So undeniable.
I don't understand how women can tolerate it.
