Germany vs. Italy 2016
After throwing away a two-goal lead against England, Germany will be aiming to get their Euro 2016 preparations back on track when taking on Italy at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Tuesday. Despite goals from Toni Kroos and Mario Gomez in Berlin on Saturday, Germany conspired to throw away their advantage, conceding three goals in the final 30 minutes to lose, 3-2.

Roy Hodgson issues Euro 2016 warning
to England players ahead of Holland clash
"They haven't done it yet in a tournament," he said.

"We still don't really know how this young group, if they go, will perform in tournament conditions against much more experienced teams like Germany, who are used to reaching finals and France, as the home nation.

"But I believe in the team. Absolutely. I believe we're going to be ready and the players go into games believing they can win them and they'll go into the tournament believing they can do well. But I don't know."

Watched the Germany-England game. England has some exciting young players (also Vardy who is probably at his peak) and are playing much better than they have in a long while. However, this was just a friendly. The US beat Germany in a friendly last year. Doesn't mean a whole lot at this point.

Germany rout Italy, England lose to Netherlands in international friendlies
Mario Goetze scored on his international comeback to help Germany beat Italy for the first time in more than 20 years, a 4-1 drubbing in their friendly on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, in the other match England came crashing down to earth with a frustrating 2-1 loss to an inexperienced Netherlands side at Wembley on Tuesday, failing to build on their defeat of world champions Germany last weekend.

Second-half goals from Dutch forward Vincent Janssen and substitute Luciano Narsingh cancelled out a Jamie Vardy strike in the first half, sapping the optimism around Roy Hodgson's side ahead of this June's European Championship finals.
