Deception Experts: Ted Cruz Appears Deceptive in His Response to Sex Scandal Story
lawnewz.com ^ | March 27th, 2016 | by Phil Houston and Don Tennant

Ted's denial "was strikingly weak in terms of denial, and strong in terms of attack. And that combination is a telltale sign of deception that leads us to conclude that this is a matter that warrants further investigation."

"Behaviorally, when the facts are the ally of an individual, he or she almost always tends to focus on the facts of the matter at hand. In this case, if the key fact was that he had not had these affairs, Cruz would almost certainly have been much more strongly focused on the denial. That is, he very likely would have made a point of explicitly stating something along the lines of, “I did not have these affairs.”

Yet at no point in either statement did Cruz say that. He implied it by saying the allegations are false, and that they’re lies, but behaviorally, such statements are not equivalent to saying he never had the affairs. Even if we were to overlook that fact and consider his statements to be a denial, there is an overwhelmingly higher proportion of attack behavior compared to the effort expended at denial. This type of lopsided attack-to-denial ratio is very consistent with what we have historically seen with deceptive people when allegations are levied against them."

Psychobabble pseudo-analysis.

No, but Ted’s behavior merits further investigation. Especially since he is running as a deeply religious person.

Ted Cruz will never be elected President and will not be reelected to the US Senate. His political career is over. You cannot hypocritically wrap yourself in the mantle of Christianity if you are wearing no clothes. He will withdraw from the race within two weeks. Women are not stupid. They keep bits of hard evidence to protect themselves. Some of that evidence will surface in the near future.

But underground since I've never heard the term "deception expert" before.

The stress is taking a toll. Cruz is starting to lie like Obama now. It’s disturbing to watch.

Here it is as we speak:

The ($500K, excerpted) money from the Fiorina campaign was laundered through a company called MLJ Consulting. Nearly half of the money spent on ads, over $251,795, was paid to MLJ Consulting. On top of that, MLJ Consulting received an additional $271,152 for services described in FEC reports as “Political Strategy Consulting/Staff Management” or “Political Strategy Consulting/Travel.” (The FEC is currently requesting coordinating information on the payments and deposits left out in the filing by the Fiorina campaign.)

The payments to MLJ from the PAC Unlocking Potential have continued into the current campaign cycle. Nearly half of the $210,656 the super PAC has spent has been paid to MLJ Consulting, mostly for “Political Strategy Consulting/Staff Management.” The campaign and both super PACs, Unlocking Potential, Carly for America and MLJ Consulting seem to have secretly worked with Sarah Isgur Flores.

Sarah Isgur Flores received a one-time payroll check of $3,582 from Unlocking Potential, which she joined in February 2015 after leaving the Republican National Committee. Two months later, she was paid $148,375 by Carly for America, the super PAC. And one week after that, Flores received an in-kind payment of $12,700 from the Fiorina campaign. She then began receiving biweekly payroll checks of $10,052 as the deputy director of Fiorina’s campaign.

This is the most reasonable manner that the ‘Hush Money’ was paid by Keep the Promise I. (The Ted Cruz Super PAC Operation!)

Love to say I told you so, but I told you so!
From Smoking Gun.

Aptly named and time for Ted to explain or resign. Did Trump make him send the money?

When the Dems can’t find anything else on a conservative person they attack and accuse of affairs. Over and over it goes on. Now the right has taken a Dem tactic.

You don’t have to be an expert to know when Ted Cruz is lying. He’s a career Washington person, so the answer is “usually”. He even uses handy Obama catchphrases like “Let me be clear...”

Sad!

how about a real answer like

“I am a committed consistent Christian who has NEVER cheated on his vows to his wife or his family.. I have never had a sexual relationship with anyone in any shape or form other than with my wife since I have been married .. PERIOD.. end of story!”?

I’lll say one more thing:

The goal of this kind of sliming political attack is always the same: to force the opponent to say: “I am not a drunkard.” In other words to specify the charge from his own mouth.

And the sliming victims all know this.

That’s why in this kind of attack, the response is always: “These charges are garbage, utterly false”, or “These charges are fabricated politically motivated slander.”

The VERY LAST thing the response should do is repeat the charge. That’s why Çruz or any politician will give the answers they do. It’s not being deceptive, or lawyer-like, it’s being smart and not falling into the accuser’s trap.

It is my belief that the charges in this case are probably totally false. But who knows? They are irrelevant to anyone other than Ted Cruz and his wife, and to the women slimed.

Meanwhile, as I heard said on broadcast TV yesterday, the evidence linking the leaking of this story to the Trump campaign is far stronger than the evidence of adultery against Ted Cruz. The upshot of this is that Trump will be hurt far worse than Cruz since this story plays right into the public meme that Trump is an unprincipled scoundrel with an insubstantial moral compass.

On Fox and Friends this AM ....Trump absolutely denied knowing or leaking Cruz smutty infidelities.

Cruz deflection to Trump is vicious.

Cruz needs to man up....if possible....and accept that actions have consequences.

IF..... And I say IF.......Cruz made up the whole story just to throw it to the political whirl, hoping to catch Trump in his net....
....it is beyond despicable.....beyond Michiavellian....beyond pure evil!!!!!

Phony excuse. It’s always harder to defend innocence than it is criminality.

I believe that a lot of this has been debunked already and previously posted here on FR.

Beyond that, if this were true, then why on Earth would Carly Fiorina want to dig herself deeper by actually endorsing Ted Cruz.

Sorry, but this charge does not pass the smell test. Except maybe for those whose sense of small has already been affected by having their noses stuck too far up Trump’s shorts for too long.

Actually I do not see Trump as involved in this fight.

Maybe he is, but I don’t see it.
