No question Cruz is the GOPe’s intrim candidate until the convention, where they will fush himdown the DC Uni-Party sewer and put in their designated loserfor rhhe general election.
Crus’ ego is his vulnerability. He actually believes the GOPe pukes!
There are two other possibilities.
One has to do with Cruz's intellectual superiority complex. He thinks he can draft off them like he drafted off Trump (it worked, didn't it?) then outsmart them and get an angry divisive nomination.
The other possibility is that he's part of the game. He knows he's not eligible; it was his job to accumulate conservative supporters from his false rhetoric, then throw them to Jeb. (Cruz's resume would support that)
Either way, or if there's some other reason, Cruz has shown himself to be an extremely malevolent individual.

He probably thinks he’s smarter than the GOPe, and that he’ll be able to hornswoggle them when he gets to the convention. You know, a clever plan to outsmart the establishment.
But the way Cruz has been going lately, his plan probably involves Glen Beck stabbing someone and then withholding food from hungry Mormon children.
