Memo to Global Warming Expeditions: Stay Away From Antarctica
Canada Free Press ^ | 03/09/16 | Jack Dini

Posted on 03/09/2016 3:27:45 PM PST by Sean_Anthony

A highly publicized folly attracting much worldwide ridicule

It should be clear to global warming polar researchers that sea ice at the South Pole is not melting, but in fact has been growing for 37 years, reports Pierre Gosselin. (1)

Yet, recently another ship got caught in the Antarctic ice. The Antarctic ‘Aurora Australis’ with 68 people on board became stranded in sea ice in the West Arm in Horsehoe Harbor the last week in February, and rescue efforts were prevented by a snowstorm. They were eventually rescued. The problem: Too much ice!

The Aurora Australis may ring a bell. This is because it is the ice breaker that ultimately helped rescue the 52 person crew on board the sea ice trapped research vessel Akademik Shokalskiy which ferried a global warming/polar ice melt exploration led by Prof. Chris Turney back in early 2014. That expedition devolved into a highly publicized folly attracting much worldwide ridicule. Eventually, a helicopter from the Chinese ice breaker Xue Long succeeded ferrying Turney and his crew to safety. (1)

If the glow bull warming schmucks followed their own “logic” they would know that cold air sinks and will go as far south as possible due to gravity or whatever. And therefore stay away from the south pole as possible.

This is because heat, which rises, is lurking beneath the oceans surfaces ready to pounce when the time is right.

So, who rescues an icebreaker? Or does it just stay there till spring? That could be a long time with southern winter just setting in.

Check out the Franklin Expedition to find the Northwest Passage.

Got stuck in ice over winter, and all summer, ... and all were lost.

One link:

There is also a fact based (as much as known) fiction of the expedition.

Well, it was FEBRUARY!

Winter, when you know it's cold and everything freezes solid.

Nobody can comprehend just how cold it must be in Antarctica in FEBRUARY, when we in the US are dealing with all that winter ice.

Those global warming scientists must be as dumb as a box of rocks to go the Antarctic in FEBRUARY, amirite?

Oh, I forgot.

It's friggin' SUMMER in February in the Antarctic.

For "scientists" to get caught in ice during the summer ONCE was the height of stupidity.

Nope, another group of "scientists" got caught AGAIN and had to be rescued.

There's stupid, and weapons grade stupid.

Even the most dense global warming "scientist" should have re-thought that.

It would have been hilarious for the rescuers to tell them go screw themselves.

We're not going to bail your sorry asses out AGAIN.

I saw that one of the Franklin ships had been found. Very cool!

Over the last couple of years I've also read about warmists trying to sail the Northwest Passage in the summer and getting trapped in ice. The B.S. about the Passage being completely ice free in the summers now is wrong. Eventually the computer models have to face the reality on the Earth.

I have heard the excuses for this.

According to ‘scientists’ the polar ice cap is growing because the ice is melting and with the new fresh water it freezes even further away from the South Pole. They have their reasons and you must never question their settled science.

Cerberus and Terror, I believe, were the apt names of the two doomed ships?
