From a truth and story standpoint I suppose it matters to some the how and potential why he died, but from a reality standpoint it makes no sense to spend even a millisecond on the issue. He is dead, and now reality is, the Republic is in danger. Of that there is no doubt. Citizens United, could be repealed, the second amendment is in more danger, what comes after, same sex marriage in the list of moral depravity waiting in the wings of scotus? So many questions, so few answers.

How and why Scalia died matters in terms of who is next. If it was natural causes, the next one will be the oldest, sickest, or least lucky. Otherwise, it will be the one who interferes with America’s enemies (at least for the remaining eleven months in which the communist holds power).

When the Republicans in the Senate hurry through confirmation of the Sultans nomination, a series of cases will be accepted by the USSC over the following 6 months or so that will effectively repeal the First and Second Amendments and undo everything about the Republic and its Constitution. The Republicans will be as happy as pigs in a mire until the time comes for the Show Trials. The designated Opposition becomes the first targets and the first victims. When politicians co-operate with the crocodile in hopes of being eaten last they get gobbled up very early in the feast.
