Especially considering the Governor of Iowa (whose son is an ethanol lobbyist) declared that Cruz 'must be defeated whatever it takes' after Cruz said he would push to end the ethanol mandate.
Even after declaring he'd up the ethanol mandate and use the EPA to enforce it, (and getting the Governor's and ethanol lobby's blessing) Trump still came in second.
