While you’re at it, in addition to reading national news, check out your own, local newspaper. I live in a refugee-resettlement area and there are forces here attempting to steamroll those of us raising concerns into submission. Whenever anyone writes a letter or expresses an opinion that these Muslims aren’t a safe fit for our community (we had there children massacred with a machete last year by one of our refugees), they are subject to a barrage of hate letters from seemingly religious people, even clergy. And I mean numbers of letters, letters that twist the words of anyone raising an objection to the irresponsible resettlement process. We all need to get involved and start pushing back. These Leftists are well organized and well schooled, and we need to start looking up and seeing what is just over the horizon.
May anyone who supports bringing these moozlum murderers here rot in hell. That especially goes for the various religious groups who have sold their souls for millions fo Fed $$$$$$.

I'm betting it's the kind of clergy that has essentially abandoned its own set of scriptures by explaining away whole passages via re-interpretation like the feminist re-reading of "headship" in the New Testament as meaning "source" and whatnot. Since they ignore what their own scriptures say, they're convinced that the Muslims will eventually do the same.
And to some extent they are right -- there are Muslims who reject the literal or logical reading of much of the Quran, making the jihad either symbolic or internal, using certain hadith in order to explain away the worst misogyny in the Quaran, etc. They show up in the various surveys as the minority who rejects violence and doesn't want sharia law, etc.
But, going on the moderate Muslim I have known best, even those moderates believe in their heart of hearts that non-Muslims are inferior and should be paying jizya to the followers of Islam. They just figure that's Allah's business, and that probably too many Muslims are misbehaving for Allah to divide the communities that neatly right now.
So moderate in one sense, not so moderate in another. While they would not be part of a bombing scheme, I suspect that they see some of the things happening in the US right now as Allah's will and a just punishment on unbelievers, even as they condemn those who do the violence.
