This is Armstrong’s complete comment. What part in there says that Carson is calling it quits? I heard him say last night that he’s staying in all the way to Cleveland.
“God morning :
The unmitigated gall of Barry Bennett and Doug Watts: To attempt to curry favor with the Trump campaign by delivering Dr. Carsonâs campaign infrastructure on a platter is nothing short of amazing. Dr. Carson has built the most substantial, comprehensive, and valuable grass roots communications infrastructure of any of the current Republican candidates. Despite fluctuations in the polls, Carson remains a beloved figure who draws adulation from throngs of people wherever he goes.
Watts and Bennett did a great service is helping to guide his campaign â a service for which they were amply compensated. But they do an equally great disservice by holding lectures, going in front of the media and betraying Carson in an attempt to curry favor with Trump.
It is not surprising that these former staffers seem to be auditioning for new jobs with the Trump campaign. After all, they are professional politicians who need to make a living; and there is no chance in hell they intend sit out the rest of this campaign season. But the way they have gone about advertising their availability begs a question: If they are so willing to throw Carson under the bus, what will they do to their next employer? Iâm sure this fact â and its dire implications â will not be lost on any campaign that has the temerity to engage their services.
But just to make it extra clear: neither Bennett nor Watts has any influence whatsoever over who Dr. Carson may ultimately endorse in the primary should the occasion arise.”
And yet he holds Cruz responsible for not communicating that he was not really dropping out of the race as the CNN reports implied, he was only planning on taking the rest of the week off to change his clothes.
“But just to make it extra clear: neither Bennett nor Watts has any influence whatsoever over who Dr. Carson may ultimately endorse in the primary should the occasion arise.â
Barry Bennett seems the likely link to Trump’s campaign of disinformation. Carson seems to have personnel issues and tried to deflect attention from his own mistakes.
