Like any good deal or negotiation, there had to be some give and take on both sides to come to an agreement on what is best for the country. If not, there would have been NO progress made, and we would have been in infinite gridlock.

But there was gridlock. Which is why the first ten Amendments were written. The Constitution would not have been accepted without the Bill of Rights.
