Who the hell does he think he’s kidding? They are licensed thieves who can steal your money for their precious pet government any time they feel like it. And when your taxes aren’t enough, they either borrow and inflate so the pittance you are left with is worth very little in 20 years.
The real ‘fight’ is to control the voracious government beast that “sends hither swarms of officers to harass our people and eat out our substance.”

the services and the effectiveness of local government and government generally is something that we can't take for granted, that we have to work for and fight for and invest in every single day. The sacrifice of one's values for the sake of government is altruism and statism and is anti-life. Once it becomes a virtue to voluntarily sacrifice for government, the next step is the use of force to compel sacrifice.
