Trump causes Beltway Republicans to go crazy
Canada Free Press ^ | 01/23/16 | Jeff Crouere

Trump has to answer to no one, but the people of America

It has been a good week for Donald Trump. He continues to lead in the national polls and has regained the lead in Iowa. The media continues to obsess about everything Trump; his statements, his campaign and his rallies. Crowds were massive for Trump this week in Iowa, Oklahoma and Nevada.

This week, he received a coveted endorsement from former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, a Tea Party darling. This will undoubtedly help him in Iowa, South Carolina and other states. He was also endorsed by the “Duck Commander,” Willie Robertson, who said that Trump was a “real leader” who epitomized “success and strength.” As usual, he was also interviewed on numerous TV programs touting his campaign success.

I see it was the Robertson father that endorsed Ted, the son endorsed Donald.

Donald is swinging and missing a lot this past week. But he’s benefitting from the GOPe capitulating or standing down. Things could still turn against him if he doesn’t calibrate his press statements with the mood of the electorate. Ted is rising in my family. I’m still Trump-Cruz.

Beltway Republcans love Trump, because both are part of the Party of Government.

Trump advocates: Higher taxes, corporate welfare (e.g. ethanol mandates), universal healthcare, touch-back amnesty, using eminent domain to steal private property & give it to politically connected developers, etc.

That’s why more and more incumbents and lobbyists are now saying “This Trump fellow is a guy we can work with.”

Trump is a member in good standing of the Democrat-Statist Party of Government, and those “conservatives” who support the guy are emotionally retarded chumps.

Trump shot Cruz. The is no way Trump can pick Cruz as his VP now.

The Opposition will run Trumps statements 24 hours a day.

When Trump went ‘full birther’ any chance of a VP slot were done.

If only we can keep the discussions civil, not personal, so we can support the last man, Cruz or Trump standing. Free Republic is a valuable forum and many here fervently believe in their ideas and love of country. I will never attack someone here for their ideas or support for a candidate.

I have received a few personal attacks because of support for ideas and candidates over the years and mostly ignored them. This cycle has been the worse ever because the passions are so strong. I have even received an attack because I indicated I will be happy to support Cruz or Trump. It is that personal to some.

Let us not destroy FreeRepublic in our effort to “win”.

In full disclosure I lean toward Trump but will be happy if Cruz wins.

The history of politics is saturated with running mates that appeared as mortal enemies of each other but came together for the good of the party.

Reagan-Bush

And Bush was the first Cuckservative, and threw away Reagan's Legacy.

We could have finished liberals off for a hundred years if not for him: it was Bush who gave us Clinton.

Call me thin skinned, but when Trump called me and twenty million others Nasty Maniacs by association, I’m not supporting his classless dementedass until forced to on Nov. 6. Until then he gets my incoming.

I agree. But Trump-Cruz can be different. Ted can finish the progressive insanity for a generation.

The only way to be rid of the left for a period beyond many generations is by way of Article V.

Yes it is.

But the ‘birther’ attack prohibits this action.
