I know a guy who said his sister's neighbor's brother-in-law had sex with Morgan Fairchild.

Assuming your story is even true, perhaps your lawyer friends should go back to law school and brush up on the legal doctrine of "quantum meruit". You can bet that if they had really been ripped off by Trump they would have sued him.

Finally, I have actually done business with Trump. It was for approximately $500k. He was gracious, did what he said he was going to do, sent the check when he said he was going to send it and the check cleared. I would enthusiastically do business with him again.

As a rule, quantum meruit is used where there is no contract. If there is a contract, the terms can be unreasonable and the contract upheld, because that’s what they agreed to. If they trusted Trump, and their contract left them exposed, that’s a mistake, but even good attorneys sometimes trust people they shouldn’t.
