All capitalist endevors/contracts require a some modicum of trust... if the other guy will screw you at any possible turn it makes it pretty hard for business to function.
What Trump did in this case is reprehensible
What a joke. I hear squeals of self-righteousness and "oh-my-gods", and have to laugh. I have been a businessman most of my life, self-employed or as a contractor.
I have been plaintiff in Federal Court four times. I was the plaintiff. I had contracts that the others didn't wish to fulfill. I had done everything required. More often, I had gone far beyond what was asked. But, I found out that most lawyers don't know much about the law.
Four times a plaintiff, and never hired an attorney. I was a General Contractor and licensed Real Estate Broker. I never lost. I got what I was owed, or in the case of a Complaint against the State of WV, I got what I sued for... and they changed a law due to my claim!
Lawyers are more about "billable hours" than they are the Law. I won mostly because I wore them down with interrogatories and requests for documents. They finally figured out I would go away if they paid me. Once, I got more than I was owed because of egregious actions attempted at the beginning, and subsequent penalties by the Judge!
