Mark Levin posted this Article on his Facebook feed and found it interesting. I believe he agrees with what the author wrote.

At this point the only choices are Trump and Cruz.

The question becomes which one? From my perspective I am equally happy with either, and by the time my state gets around to having a primary, the nomination will most likely be locked up and my vote will not influence the outcome.

Ping. This is a long article but a really good detailed explanation of why many people (myself) included don’t trust Trump and don’t believe he is the right person to save the country in 2016. The article is based in fact and not emotion/anger. Mark Levin agrees with it and I pretty much agree with it as well.

He’s a progressive and seems to have most success at turning weak kneed conservatives into democrats.

If our nation’s problems were material, Trump could lead us back.

But our nation’s problems are not material - they are first spiritual and moral. Without a spiritual and moral revival/recovery, a material recovery may come for a while - but it will not last.

Trump’s base philosophy is not spiritual or moral. It is totally material: winning, success, profit - and ego. This is why when it profits him, he is liberal, as in the past. When it profits him, he is conservative - and being quite smart he knows that’s what he needs now to “win”. He also is not “big” on recovering the Constitution - which indeed has both spiritual and moral roots.

I’ll take Trump over any Democrat, of course. But only Cruz has both the spiritual and moral foundation to lead us back.

Yes. If there are still enough honest, uncorrupted, non-decadent Americans who can think clearly enough to elect him.

It appears that there might be, but we have a hard task before us.

Do not forget our objective: the safety and welfare of our children and the American Dream.

And then what? Let's imagine he is actually able to use the bully pulpit to force Congress to water down amnesty, to build a wall along the Mexican border, to deport some illegal immigrants, and even to limit entry to the U.S. from Arab Muslim countries. Will those actions, desirable as they may be, address the fundamental problems facing a nation on the brink of implosion?

The author asks a good question then answers it wrongly IMO. The answer is yes - if that is ALL Trump does then he would be a successful President.

I do not believe America will be restored by normal constitutional means.

Thank you for posting Levin's article!

"Ideas have consequences." - Weaver

America's Founders understood civilization's long struggle for individual liberty and against the ideas whose consequences are tyranny and oppression. The world was changed by their choice and courageous actions on behalf of liberty.

It was John Adams who said: "The foundation of every government is some principle or passion in the minds of the people." Clearly, the Founders' passion was for liberty, and in order to secure that liberty, they sought out and incorporated into the United States Constitution those ideas and principles which had been capsulized and embodied in their Declaration of Independence.

The French historian, Guizot, once asked James Russell Lowell, "How long will the American republic endure?" Lowell replied: "As long as the IDEAS of the men who founded it continue dominant."

Inasmuch as the current battle is a "battle of ideas," one cannot assume that a mere man or woman can "restore America." American liberty can be restored, "IF the motivating "principle or passion in the minds of the people is LIBERTY, and if that passion causes them to exert the determination and will to complete the needed restoration of the IDEAS upon which the great American experiment was based." See

A knowledgeable and willing leader can be instrumental in helping "the PEOPLE" to rediscover and assert those ideas, but John Adams' words remain a wise caution for today's citizens who remain, in the words of Justice Joseph Story, "the only KEEPERS of the Constitution." - Joseph Story, "Commentaries on the Constitution. . . ."

It is obvious that the people who have been in charge for years can not, will not, or do not want to restore America to a decent, truthful and God fearing nation.

Who is to say Trump can not? He is certainly better than the corrupt and ignorant trash currently in office and certainly better (with one exception) than the trash that is trying to fill that office.

Why in the world would anyone with half a brain think that by implementing the same old failed programs that all of a sudden this time they will work. That is pure ignorance.

I don’t know. . .but I am willing to give him a chance (or Cruz—either one).

Trump and his supporters can’t stop lying about Ted Cruz. How is he supposed to fix America when conservative solutions are the only answer?
