Men are more frequently the victim of Alzheimer’s than women. Maybe they just get tired of all the nagging and retreat into it.

Article says, “twice as many women suffer from it than men”. Nice try, though. Maybe it’s because men never listen to what women say, so women just opt out and go to another place.
I would agree with that. I worked in a residence for Seniors with Alz and Dementia. We had more men than women. And .. the men seemed to be in a better mood most of the time. They were more adventurous; but the women were more sensitive - some would not be able to communicate anymore with the spoken word, but if you put on a Christian music tape (consisting of the old Hymns), they would be able to sing aloud every word - while the tears rolled down their cheeks. It was heartbreaking.
I still firmly believe that a lot of the problem is the overkill of prescription medication. I mean, some of the patients had 10-15 different prescription meds to take every day. That alone could mess with your brain.
I don’t take any of that stuff.
