It did not take long for newly minted Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) to give up on promises to "open up the process," "return to regular order," and "wipe the slate clean."
If Ryan truly sought to define his leadership as the dawn of a new day for limited governance, the 2,009 page omnibus represented his chance to reassert GOP priorities. Instead, members will soon vote on a $1.149 trillion grab bag of special interest giveaways, liberal victories, and conservative concessions that they more than likely have not read.
A full year after the president's lawless expansion of executive amnesty, Congress will once again cede its power of the purse and fund the programs as they are. Sanctuary cities will continue to violate federal law and the administration's refugee program will continue to resettle foreign citizens who may well pose an undiscoverable security risk. Meanwhile, the Visa Waver Program will undergo only the most superficial reforms, in no way guaranteeing the protections our safety demands.

The thing that really, really bothers me is that he didn’t even give us conservatives the respect to tell us “ I am friggin you”. So he is a liar and a coward.

Well, with the budget Ryan got on board with and passed, it fully funds what Obama asked for in all of the following areas (and probably more):
Obama Care
Planned Parenthood
Syrian Refugees
New Foreign work Visas
That right there says it all IMHO.
In terms of this first round with Paul Ryan, sorry to say it...but there it is. Despite Ryan’s high words...
“Old Speaker of the House Boehner...meet the new Speaker of the House, Ryan. They are acting the same.”
Boehner at least pretended to fight for awhile.
Ryan is the best majority leader money can buy. Like the rest of them.
Raise your hand if you ever believed Ryan was a conservative. :-)
My theory is that it was obama using his stash of money to get Ryan and Carson into prominent positions.
Seems to have worked out; Ryan as House Speaker and Carson as presidential candidate.

The GOP--e got their wish: Boehner's perfidy but in a younger and even less sympathetic package. Until they are as scared of constituents as they are everyone else, don't anticipate any improvement.

Anyone who supports this budget should be tried and executed for crimes against humanity for KNOWINGLY funding the murder of babies and selling their body parts.
hpefulyl Cruz will come out and berate ryan for betraying the American people- hopefully trump will too
I Can’t Believe It’s Not Boehner!
The establishment Republicans don’t fear the voters’ wrath.
Maybe their polling gives them some comfort that we don’t know about. If they’re right about the numbers, then it’s a problem for Trump and even Cruz.
Let’s hope they’re wrong. And let’s make them wrong.
No they don’t seem to fear us...which worries me; but I really do not understand Jim Demint/Heritage’s supporting this POS for speaker?
Maybe Ryno grew the beard so that voters won’t recognize him when he is doing “bad stuff”.
