A day after Turkey arrested two journalists for their report exposing Erdogan's weapons deliveries to "extremist groups" in Syria, confirming that no dissent to the president's foreign policy would be allowed, today a new riot has erupted in Istanbul following the dramatic murder in broad daylight of Tahir Elci, the president of the Turkish bar association in southeastern Diyarbakir province, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen while giving a public speech.

A campaigner for Kurdish rights, Elci had been criticized for challenging Turkey's official stance of calling the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) a terrorist organization. A Turkish prosecutor last month demanded up to seven and a half years of prison tme for Elci on the grounds of "making propaganda of a terror organization" after remarks he made supporting the PKK.

Just before being gunned down, Elci called for peace & silencing of all guns.

How long before the once civilized world (NATO, US, EU) recognize that the government of Turkey is a terrorist group and give the Kurds and Assad’s regime the support they deserve?

Things like this are done to announce to ordinary people that they are now subjects of a dictatorship, that the government fears nothing.

Erdogan has been playing a double game for some time now. Using his country’s NATO membership to advance Islam at the West’s expense.

Time for us to realize an Islamist Prime Minister of Turkey has been aiding ISIS because it advances Islam.

Islam demands of all of its adherents that they work to advance Islam by any means available and by any means necessary, including deceit, lying, and killing.
Their book commands them to subjugate, convert or kill everyone else on the planet.
Mad Mo made it so.

The US should leave Turkey. It would fall to civil war immediately.

We don’t need the intel bases we have there anymore.

has been aiding ISIS because it advances Islam.

Having his son be a conduit for ISIS oil doesn't hurt his bank account either. An Islamist kleptocrat.

” Erdogan has been playing a double game for some time now. Using his country’s NATO membership to advance Islam at the West’s expense.”

And the EU just voted to give Erdogan 3 billion euros to keep the “refugees” from going to Europe. How stupid can you get!

Ataurk did a great job holding off the war between east and west.

Turkey is a major crossroads.

Ergodan has been drifting toward Mecca for a long time

What is more alarming is how Obama set the north of Africa on fire for the invasion of Europe.

Turkey is the least of our troubles

Yes, Turkey is a crossroads and will suffer because of it, as it has for centuries.

Agree, it’s not the biggest of our worries. There are others much more pressing and the Muslim invasion is up there near the top - along with our own decline here in America, I’m afraid.
