Veterans taking tour thrilled as beloved commander in chief pops in for surprise visit

Psyche.

It looks like the Oval Office! But of course, it’s the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas. This is where a group of veterans were getting a tour on Veterans Day this morning when, much to their surprise, President Bush 43 himself popped and personally greeted the surprised and very pleased group.

I really don’t need to say a lot about this, but I just want to remind you: For all the prattling from the left and their media mouthpieces about how Bush cavalierly put our fighting men and women in harm’s way, the truth is that the vast majority of our troops and our veterans love Bush because they know that he always had their backs. Not only that, but when something did happen to those on active duty, Bush cared about it deeply, struggled with it and personally took responsibility. The weight of his decision to send our people into battle was always heavy on him. He took it seriously, and while he was confident he made the right calls, he never stopped feeling burdened by the reality of what happened to many who answered the call at his command.

And, I remember how stunned, shocked, and totally befuddled the media was when Bush began visiting the wounded troops at Walter Reed, and other places.

Just the fact that he would not take the media with him, but chose instead to take only the WH photographer. And, he never announced he was coming to the public. Only the hospital knew (of course).

I loved those pictures that were posted on the thread, “A Day in the Life of President Bush”. That thread got started because the media would not post any pictures of Bush. Their hatred was so disgusting .. and it finally became a joke, “... it’s Bush’s fault”. That’s when they finally stopped saying it.

And who could forget when he went to Iraq in a super-secret surprise Thanksgiving visit. Shocked the heck out of all of us, but made a lot of us conservatives feel dang proud.

No, he wasn’t perfect, but he did some good.

(Could you imagine Clinton...either one...doing something like that?)

“he never stopped feeling burdened by the reality of what happened to many who answered the call at his command.”

Nor should he. Religion of Peace enabler, taking out the wrong country.

Oh my .. I do remember that .. and I also remember that a British Airways passed Air Force One while in flight; and it almost exposed Bush’s trip to Iraq.

IIRC .. the pilot of the British aircraft radioed his people, and said he just saw AF-1 .. and they told him to keep his mouth shut. It was really funny.

And .. on this Veterans’ Day, Thank you for your service to America.

The U.N. voted to take out that wrong country. Don’t re-write history.

“The U.N. voted to take out that wrong country. Don’t re-write history.”

Under what resolution? Answer - none. There was no such vote.

And while Religion of Peace Dubya was pushing for this, the evidence of Saudi aggression was quietly shelved. This clan of grifters stand exposed. They don’t deserve a return to the hagiographic personality cult that lasted almost a quarter of century.

Bullsh1t.

What did Bush do when Democrat Congressmen got on the floor of the House and called us Nazis and war criminals? John Murtha did that.

Where was Bush when guys were court martialed and sent to Leavenworth for killing a Taliban or Al Quada in the "incorrect way?"

Where was Bush when the Haditha Marines or the Abu Grab soldiers were absolutely crucified and had their lives destroyed?

Bush is a submissive and a loser. I don't trust that clown any more than I would trust Hillary.
