"I just don't like the guy", said former President George W. Bush of Senator Ted Cruz, according to reports of a meeting Bush had with donors not too long ago. The 43rd president went on to add that he believed Cruz was an opportunist running for president for personal gain, unlike his sainted brother, who is a true public servant. Shortly after the report came out, "Bush's brain" Karl Rove continued the attack on Cruz, saying "I do know that President Bush has expressed some--on a number of occasions--a little bit of astonishment...

I love it!
Go Senator Cruz!
I’d use it as an ad. “The Establishment doesn’t like me, but that’s because I’m fighting for you.” Play Bush saying he doesn’t like Cruz. Label him “Famous Establishment Republican”.
Well...if Bush doesn’t like Cruz, then that’s another reason why I should support Cruz.
Cruz is an honest man who sticks to his values and believes in the worth of truth. Daddy Bush, George Jr. and baby Jeb don’t know what that means, and a man like Cruz is a thorn in their sides. It is a little like a charlatan meeting Christ.
Bush just don't seem to get that part of Scripture, being so religious and such. Cruz will not be tempted to behave badly.
Go CRUZ.......
Interesting how “don’t like the guy” translates to “hate”, but “women’s health care” doesn’t translate to “kill the baby”.
Great Article! It exposes the shallowness of the Bush’s conservatism and patriotism.
Stay out da Bushes.
Jeb and George must be feeling out of sorts now that not one but two of the “help”, and dirty little back stairs Cuban help at that, have the audacity to try and rise above their station and into the main house. What next? Are they going to show up and buy some beach front on Kennebunkport? Where will it end?
Interesting the one candidate that I wont vote for Bush says that Cruz is an opportunist and corrupt.
The only thing I have to say To bush is Lehman brothers 1.2 million for a no show job after he left office as governor of Florida.
when asked why he is not more critical of fellow republicans Cruz answer was that he fallows Ronald Reagans example of not speaking ill of fellow republicans.
Class not just skin deep, it's to the bone marrow, that's our CRUZ.
As the article points out, Cruz is rock solid on his beliefs and will fight the tide for justice and his beliefs.
A man of action and not just hyperbole.
I never much liked bush, daddy bush, or even mommie bush. W’s public voicing of disdain for a moral person like Cruz only further serves to convince me the entire bush clan are a circus of clowns.
My question is, “Why should ANYONE give a rat’s a$$ what G. W. Bush thinks about anything?”
The intellectual heft ratio of Cruz to GWB is probably in the area of 20:1. As such, there is no more threatening spearhead or threat to the lazy dynasty-like power status of the GOPe. They think they can just overwhelm Cruz, and in the real world they are probably 90% right.
You may not like the Bush family, and that’s fine, just as they are free not to like Sen. Cruz. However, your casting them as some sort of elite racists doesn’t fit. Ever see Mrs. Jeb Bush and/or their children? They’re nowhere near as “white Hispanic” as either Cruz or Rubio.
