A large space rock that will zip past the Earth this Halloween on Saturday is most likely a dead comet that bears an eerie resemblance to a skull, said US space agency NASA.

1.3 lunar distance. That sounds pretty close for a flyby. Should make for some great pics.

“Discovered three weeks ago...”
Stuff like that always gives me pause. Like the one that flew by closer than the moon and was discovered AFTER it had passed by.

Look at the Chelyabinsk meteor. Injured thousands, caused millions in damage and it was only the size of a bus. Nobody saw it coming.

Even if it does head towards earth, it won’t be a problem.
It will burn up in the atmosphere and what’s left will be no bigger than a chihuahua’s skull.

slooh.com will have a live show on the flyby starting at 12:30 pm edt (until tonight when daylight saving time ends)
they’ll have a big telescope trained on what they’re calling the spooky asteroid

Got me on that one. I must have missed the /s along the way.
I haven't had a TV for over 10 years. I'm a conservative with things to do. TV would just waste my time.Others may get different results.
