Defeats Daniel Webster 200-43 to earn GOP nod
Iâm still trying to understand the issue a lot of you have with Paul Ryan, who articulates conservative economic ideas about as well as any member of Congress Iâve ever seen or heard. But I think it comes down to two things: You think heâs an âamnesty shillâ and you think he ânever met a bailout he didnât like.â Does that about sum it up?
Perhaps a third issue is that you didnât like the budget compromise he negotiated with Patty Murray in 2013 when Democrats still ruled the Senate. And maybe a fourth issue is that Ryan doesnât seem anywhere near as angry as you are.
Anyway, like it or not, Ryan easily won the Republican nomination for House Speaker in yesterdayâs 200-43 caucus vote over Daniel Webster, and today he will become Speaker upon a formal vote of the entire House:
To the theme song
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss
The GOP risks losing BOTH House and Senate as it
assumes the mantle of the MOST-hated, most-treasonous,
most submissive, most lying EXEMPT Party in US History.
Ay Carumba!
Ah well, better than Boner or McCarthy.
Next goal is remove Mitch.
Mitch is next.
Ryan is basically the same type of Republican as me. Wants to reform the things I think are the biggest problems. Not a huge culture warrior. Politically realistic, but has clearly sketched long term goals about the direction of the country, that I am sympathetic to.
Like it or not, eh?
Sounds like he sure likes it and views those of us who don’t as unreasonable and/or misguided.
So two supposed conservative “safe” seats allowed to vote for him.
Well, La Dee Freakin’ Dah!
Of course mitt Romney and his wife are there.
Ryan engineered the passage of 0bamas entire budget yesterday.
And you wonder why we have reservations?
Stay tuned.....more corruption to follow.
Lyin Ryan lauds Bonehead and invites McRomney to his box.....tells me all I need to know about Ryan.
golly he’s just the best!
Well, it has come to pass. Ryan is speaker. I forecast it will result in the end of him as a political player before it is over..
Yeah, he's sketchy alright.
Republicrats
“Does that about sum it up?”
No, you missed the biggest, most obvious objection: he jumped at the opportunity to join Boehner’s brigade of traitors and stab the conservatives in the back!
So your for amnesty?
*you’re
Yes. But admittedly I have a soft spot for Christians.
