The IRS’s Ongoing War against Tea Party Groups
Canada Free Press ^ | 10/28/15 | Matthew Vadum

Despite impeachment proceedings, the Left still eyes new frontiers of political harassment

President Obama’s IRS is still holding nonprofit applications from conservative and Tea Party groups hostage even now, years after the IRS targeting scandal first made headlines.

It is yet more proof that even after years of bad press arising from the sordid saga, the Internal Revenue Service remains a powerful instrument of political repression in the hands of Obama, who apparently treats the agency as his personal fiefdom. Always on the hunt for new ways to disadvantage his political adversaries, Obama is also now moving forward with a fresh campaign of political intimidation against nonprofit groups that strikes at the heart of the American democratic process.

IRS commissioner has had impeachment proceedings filed against him.

If Congress isn’t serious about slamming the hammer down on the IRS, why should Obama stop using them as a weapon against the citizenry?

If a nonprofit applicant applied for nonprofit status and just cut and paste from the Constitution for its mission statement, it would never be approved by the IRS.

Think about it.

Exactly...the GOPe will never stand against Obama’s cronies in the IRS. Bet on it!

As long as Obama controls the JUST US department and it takes 67 votes to jail him expect nothing new in the District of Corruption.

In general, the GOP has not put up any meaningful resistance against Obama on anything so why should he reign in the abuses? When you let something slide, you can expect a lot more of the same.

The impeachment initiative is too little too late IMO.

I think what exists is simply a one-party system...set up like the WWE-wrestling empire. They talk up fake frustrations and point fingers at various pretenders. The President is every bit the character of Bush. It’s great reality TV but it’s all fake.

The endgame for an impeachment doesn’t have to be conviction and removal.

It works from a tranparency perspective as well.

DoJ has finished it’s investigation and concluded there was no prosecutable crime. A full up impeachment investigation and proceeding can now, publicly, expose everything that happened.

I don’t think that 5th Amendment protections apply, either, since DoJ has exonorated Lerner and the others. Why would you need 5th Amendment protections for something you’ve been exonorated of?

And yet they continue to (pretend to) scratch their heads in puzzlement as to why their base is fed up with them to the point of supporting someone like Trump—simply because he isn’t GOP-e.

This is just another way in which the Democrats and GOP are the same party: they will both feign consternation by the rage of the American middle class, but neither will change in any real way (sure, they switch from Boehner to Boehner Minime) but there will be no real change until we make them change.

True, but it would be a waste of time, especially since the GOPe are de facto Obama cronies. Wait until Trump becomes Pres. (yes Trump deniers, he was on TV, so he will win) and then go for it.

If Lerner or anyone else pleads the 5th, then she/they prove the DoJ lied.

The WWE is a great analogy. Its all a staged show. The Supreme Court plays the part of the ‘referee’ who always allows the bad guy to pull illegal moves. lol

Actually the WWE has greater entertainment value and the participants do get injured from time to time. Unlike those in congress, the wrestlers take their craft and their performance seriously. At least they earn their money. I’d rather watch the pros at WWE than the clowns in congress.

It is, and what I think is more important, is that it is political dynamite BECAUSE ITS SO DAMNED IMPORTANT AND FUNDAMENTAL. A weaponized IRS can and will kill the American Dream must faster than illegal aliens will. And no one likes the IRS. Amazes me no one is on that.
