The LITB episode where Beaver cuts his own hair (and Wally later helps) is just flat out hysterical. June’s horrified reaction really is icing on the cake.

WKRP in Cincinnati...Agreed. It's the first one that comes to mind. What I found, watching every episode on DVD, is that most of the real classic comedy (TURKEYS DON'T FLY etc) was in the first two years.

I don’t think Happy Days has aged very well. I loved it in its first run, but lately when I tried watching a few episodes, they fell flat.

I worked in TV so I could relate but loved WKRP since a kid.

I still remember the episode with Johnny Fever scared that the “phone cops” were after him, and the drinking study where he got faster reaction times the more he drank.

I’m talking about the level of humor. Very sophomoric. But I know a lot of people were into that kind of thing.

Gilligan’s island? and No SEINFELD? Blasphemy. No list would be complete without GET SMART and THE ODD COUPLE.

My favorite episode was when Louie met his girfriends (Played by his wife,Rhea Perlman) parents. I remember that, too. Clearly. Quite possibly one of the best scenes in the show.

Munsters, yes.

Well Hello Terry Rakolta! How you been! I want to personally thank you for everything you did to make MWC huge success.
Does the Fox network still send you floweres every year on your birthday?

Sledge Hammer was great stuff. I have a prop from the series that Alan Spencer auctioned off for charity. It was a surplus wanted poster from the episode when Sledge had a contract on him.

Newhart was a master of the deadpan response, like Carson. Often funnier than anything you could say or do.

But that Fawlty Towers show was not a favorite of mine. "Oh, you're Germans! Oh, I see. For a minute there I thought there was something wrong with you!"
The writing doesn't get much better than that, especially when delivered by John Cleese.

Since you brought it up, was that before or after George Foreman realized that he wouldn’t have to remember his sons names if they were all the same?

Forgot about RD. It’s excellent. Watched (I think) the entire series on Netflix. Liked Firefly a lot too, but that was more of a humorous drama, than a comedy per se.

Barney Miller was consistently funny.
The Odd Couple was pretty classic.
