I purposely didn't excerpt anything, only the beginning of the article, interested reader needs to read the whole thing. While you're at it, you might want to check out another at the Belmont Club - Looking Back At the Turning of the Century

Now back on my take, "people in the future" should look into Obama admin bribing our enemies, esp. the ME/NA region. When everything collapses and we reap the consequences, some idijts will come along and claim "Republicans' fault, because it happened under their watch".

Never mind about the Middle East, it never changes. Crazy Muslims. Crazy fighting. What we need to be concerned about is 200,000 Syrian (refugee terrorists) hit our shores in buses from Mexico.

Don't worry, it will get worse before it gets better Obama has more than a year to really mess things up. If that can be possible.

Early in 2009, Rush Limbaugh famously said, “I hope he (Obama) fails.”

That did not require a great amount of prescience, but in failing, the Current Occupant has dragged a lot of the rest of the world down with that failure.

Things are much worse now than anyone imagined it would be on January 19, 2009. And it ain’t gonna get much better for a while, buttercup.
