" . . . when you're a city employee, and those thoughts, beliefs and opinions are different from the city's, you have to check them at the door."
Just in case youve forgotten, gay rights and gay marriage wont affect you in any way. Remember that promise? Dont like gay marriage? Dont enter into one. Thats all you have to do and youre square, bro.
But that was always a lie, and as weve discussed in this space many times, the gay marriage and gay rights movements were never really about what they claimed to be about at all. They were always about marginalizing Christians and creating legal pretexts to punish Christians simply for practicing the faith. Few cases demonstrate this better than that of decorated Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran, who was fired despite an exceptional record in the job because - entirely outside the workplace - he wrote a Bible study guide that affirmed the biblical view of homosexuality and other issues.
TOPICS: Government; Politics; Religion; Society

The battle is concede when our side adopts the mutilated language of homosexual “marriage” advocates. They have adulterated the word “gay” to make their behavior seem less icky. There is nothing gay about homosexuality.

The appropriate term is “unnatural.”

They should be happy they're allowed to eat pork products into the break room.

BS. Every American is permitted to be themselves 24/7/365.
That was the point of freedom.

Atlanta officials in court: Christian city employees not allowed to express their beliefsWell, at least those officials won't have to worry about such an occurrence on Dec. 25th because the city offices will be closed just as they have been for decades.
I wonder what is so special about Dec. 25th anyway.

“are different from the city’s”
The city has no beliefs; it is secular. It cannot impose its “beliefs” on the citizens. (This is not Spain and the Inquisition...)
To: CondorFlight
True enough.
And they aren't really "officials" anyway. They are elected Representatives and those employees are their bosses.
We need to get that through our thick skulls.

So how are the "gays" treating Black (and Hispanic) chrstians? Are they getting a pass?
I'm actually surprised at the liberal indifference to Middle Eastern chrstians who would probably have far more in common with Black/Hispanic and other ethnic chrstians than they do with American Fundamentalist Protestants.

That is not true, the state religion is
secular humanism and the state is imposing its' religious views on us.
