I want a small Deere or something similar to paint up and use as a lawn ornament. Then I want another to cut my property. This yard is hell on riding mowers - got two and they're always up on ramps for something.

Highly recommend John Deere. In 1974 I bought a JD 212 garden tractor with 47” mower, 47” snow blade, and tire chains. It cost $1700 for everything. I lived in Michigan then and cut 3 acres all summer and plowed the driveway in winter.

Even though I had no use for it in Arizona when I moved in 2010, I wanted to bring it with me. Unfortunately, the loading ramp that came with the ABF trailer I hired to haul our belongings wasn’t wide enough to load the tractor, so it had to stay in Michigan (sigh)- set it in the front yard and sold it the same day for $600.

I had to weld the mower deck a couple times, because it had rusted through, and had to replace belts a few times. The vinyl on the seat was cracked and needed replacement, but the tractor was otherwise in excellent condition. It still had the original Kohler engine. I was happy to have owned it for 36 years.
