Intriguing that Pope Francis would warn bishops and cardinals attending the synod to beware of getting caught up in conspiracy theories, as conservatives and liberals reportedly engage in Machiavellian attempts to manipulate the synod.

“Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi on Thursday confirmed reports that the pontiff had warned Catholic bishops and cardinals behind closed doors on Tuesday not to get caught up in “the hermeneutic of conspiracy”. (Yahoo, Oct. 8, 2015)

It sounds like there is much to pray about regarding this Synod.

Homosexuality is a sin. If there is a pro-gay proclamation that attempts to change this Christian/Catholic doctrine... It’s staggering to think what could happen next.

I believe God will deal with this the way He has always, through history, dealt with crises in the Church: by raising up saints. We may know who some of them are (I have my list of probables) and some of them, we may not. But they will, by their prayers, works, joys and sufferings, in union with the Holy Spirit, prevent it from all going smash.

"Some demons are not expelled except by prayer and fasting."

We must pray and fast with these saints and for them.

Think of them. Love them.
