Just who the hell is counting all those trees. I think the numbers are a load of crap

I didn’t think they counted every tree, all I was saying is that I don’t believe any numbers given to me by the government minions. They just make them up for what suits them that day.

I suppose it might surprise you if I were to tell you that down in the trenches where most of us government minions live and work, people are as likely to be conservative as liberal. And even the liberals I work with want to be accurate about the information they publish.

Where you get the fudging of numbers and so forth is up at the higher levels, where agencies are headed by political appointees who were selected for ideologies instead of qualifications. Thus, we have situations such as the EPA declaring that CO2--a requirement for life--is a pollutant.

What about temperate vs tropical rain forests?

Seems like tropical rainforests occupy a large part of the South American land mass.
