Wikileaks is a Front for Russian Intelligence

Wikileaks is a Front for Russian Intelligence August 31, 2015

The part played by Wikileaks in the Edward Snowden saga is an important one. The pivotal role of Julian Assange and other leading members of Wikileaks in getting Snowden from Hawaii to Moscow, from NSA employment to FSB protection, in the late spring of 2013 is a matter of record.

For years there have been questions about just what Wikileaks actually is. I know because I’ve been among those asking. Over two years ago, little more than two weeks after Snowden landed in Moscow, I explained my concerns about Wikileaks based on my background in counterintelligence. Specifically, the role of the Russian anti-Semite weirdo Israel Shamir, a close friend of Assange, in the Wikileaks circle merited attention, and to anyone trained in the right clues, the Assange group gave the impression of having a relationship with Russian intelligence. As I summed up my position in July 2013, based on what we knew so far:

It’s especially important given the fact that Wikileaks is playing a leading role in the Snowden case, to the dismay of some of Ed’s admirers and even members of his family. Not to mention that Snowden, as of this writing, is still in Moscow. One need not be a counterintelligence guru to have serious questions about Shamir and Wikileaks here. It may be a much bigger part of the story than it appears to the naked eye.

Yeah, but half of their staff are undercover CIA agents, so it’s a fairly balanced organization.

Snowden is a hero compared to Obama and all those spineless politicians that created the useless and dangerous Homeland Security organization and gave away our Constitutional rights via the “Patriot” Act.

This is how espionage is done in the modern era.

You don’t send the microfilm embedded in the Ming vase. You spill it to the New York Times, or dump it on the internet, and your handler reads it back in Tehran or Moscow with his morning orange juice.

The Times refuses to reveal its source; if the source is identified, he is a whistle-blower and a hero. Aldrich Ames is probably kicking himself that he didn’t think of this.

And you don’t support your agents with suitcases of money hidden under the bridge. They establish a charitable non-profit “Cherish the Children”, or “Save the Walruses”, and you arrange for charitable donations which can be tax deductible. Or “People for Freedom Foundation” or some such. The foundation can even have volunteers out trying to save walruses, it doesn’t matter. The point is, the agent has legal cover and the money changing hands is all legal. There might be a hundred or thousand of these little alphabet soup orgs, and only the handler has the real org chart to know who is really who doing who knows what.

It is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous communist plot we have ever had to face.
I mean, look at their name: “Wikileaks”.
Leaks, Wonky Tonky.
Edward Snowden was the lead agent in this Russian scheme to sap and impurify our precious bodily fluids.

Rumored before....not sure if I buy the “front” concept, but they certainly seem to have close connections.

Even when JA fled authorities, he seemed to be getting help from a major intelligence player and I don’t think it was us and certainly not the Brits..

It did have Russian intel written all over it at the time.

Schindler is a former NSA employee. And he is just -amazed- that Snowden is hiding in Russia. The NSA got caught in illegal domestic spying and they are mad.

If the Rooskies were running Snowden, how come we’ve heard of him? Wouldn’t he still be on the job at NSA, funneling enough stuff over the north pole to keep a whole GRU department busy?

This is NSA Schindlers technique. Forget what Snowden let you know, don’t discuss that or think about it. Just watch the puppet, wikileaks is Russian intel. Woooooooooooo,,,,

So amateurish its laughable. When the NSA falls and we go through the archives like people did with the Stasi, there are going to be some head shaking things in there.
Think im wrong? Go back to 1980 and tell some east German that in about 10 years they can wander in and rummage through the Stasi files.

It's clear that they do work for Russian intelligence, whether you find their work agreeable or not. Snowden and Wikileaks has released "accurate" and false information, spreading many lies, while clearly pursuing Russian intelligence/disinformation goals. For example, with all that nonsense about the US Government doing evil things like bugging Angela Merkel's phone. The goal of this operation was clearly to benefit Russia, which is a police state that literally listens in on phone calls and then kills you if you get on the badside of the underground Soviet structure they still have going there.

I agree, I heard this story discussed by some military people and they put a lot credence in what he has to say and that is why I decided to post this story up.

Brilliant guy.

He doesn't supply much in the way of credible evidence. There is a difference between seeking Russian cover as a matter of desperation coupled with opportunism and a combined operation from the get go. The latter is not demonstrated here.

Agreed. More opinion dressed up as a news story. It's like the story posted a couple weeks ago where General Vallely declared that Iran has the bomb. Substituting analysis by so-called "subject matter experts" for fact.

Julian Assange was a Soros-financed Liberal Hero, as long as he was attacking the evil, hated, George Bush, and helping to get our soldiers killed in Iraq.

The moment he turned on Obama, and started to expose what was happening in his inner circle, he became a Worldwide fugitive, ALMOST INSTANTLY...

I doubt he was fronting for Russian Intelligence. If he was, he’d be chilling with Snowden in a dacha in Southern Russia. He might have been a USEFUL IDIOT for them, but I doubt he even knew it.
